Playing hair and makeup at the tender age of eleven along with a handed down beautiful golden vanity table with all the latest beauty tools sparked Tara’s interest for the beauty industry making a space for her and many friends to have a very personal beauty experience and so much fun and that has not changed much these days. While in college, a Psychology major she felt the need to pursue this passion and joined the “Von Curtis Academy of Hair Design” and graduated as a leading member of the design team in 1992 as a hairpist enjoying to bring the most beauty into each individual with a very personalized touch.
Since then, Tara has enjoyed working at many prestigious salons, participated in numerous hair and fashion shows, stage make-up, photo shoots, weddings and numerous special occasion updos while advancing her artistic training from master such as Vidal Sassoon, Yosh, Toni &Guy, Paul Mitchell, Aveda, Unite Academy, Kerastase, Oribe, Davines, Kryolan professional makeup trainings and live seminars.
While Tara’s initial specialty was cutting, she has also embraced the art of hair color. Tara’s mastered Goldwell, a former Schwartzkopf educator currently working mainly with Wella Hair Coloring Systems. Tara is also a certified in Keratin and Agave Smoothing therapies as well as a certified “Perfec Tress,” the latest in human hair extensions, tapes, and traditional weft sewing systems.
When not attending to her clients beauty needs at the Salon she maybe on location for a photo shoot, wedding or a special occacion hair and make up artist or as always making time to practice yoga, a certified yogi and meditation instructor as well.
